At first glance, all three look very similar, and as a beginner to the world of landscaping, you may think there is no difference at all.   1. ARBORS: Arbors are decorative wooden structures with arched, angled or other stylistically-designed roofs. That create a unique focal point for your yard. These charming landscape pieces are perfect for enhancing a backyard, path or garden. One popular use for arbors is as a divider or separation between specific areas in your yard. Add a few hanging baskets or a beautiful vine climbing plant to further the aesthetic elements.

  2. TRELLISES: Trellises are different from arbors in that they are a flat structure rather than an edifice complete with rooftop. Trellises can be free standing in the garden for vine plants such as grapes or tomatoes, adding charm to your garden to give. This structure gives plants a large area on which to grow without taking up too much room in your backyard. Another place for trellises is against a building structure.
